About : Tony Bishop-Weston

I was Tony Weston but then when I got married to Cranks Restaurants operations director Yvonne Bishop I was reliably informed (by her) that it’s a Dutch tradition to take each others name.  I fell for it.  Now I am Tony Bishop-Weston.

I grew up in the family delicatessen in Chiswick West London where I learned my appreciation of good food, the international art of taste bud titillation  and how to use an oven and a knife.

I ended up in the Highlands of Scotland and won a string of awards, notoriety and accolades for cooking with vegetables, fungi and other plantlife. I wrote my first book (Rainbows and Wellies : Findhorn Press) and enjoyed a stint as Breakfast and Drivetime Presenter on Local Radio.

As I sadly drifted southwards making new friends via The Lake District, The Vegetarian Society in Manchester and The Vegan Society in St Leonards on Sea my mid life crisis and philandering finally came to an end in the gardens at Buckingham Palace during the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.

Cookbooks and advice on food for life followed with optimum health and nutrition guidance from one of the UK’s most respected and talented nutritionists.

I now live mainly in the New Forest, Hampshire with the two youngest  of my four beautiful children and a collection of other relatives.
